Qualification Goals |
The students are able to work on a complex research-relevant project that requires competences from several areas of Logical Modelling. The students are able to solve a larger, typically interdisciplinary tasks in a group of 2 – 4 persons from the field of Logical Modelling. The students are proficient in literature research and the use of scientific information sources. They have in-depth professional competence as well as extensive methodological and social skills in project management and team work. |
Content |
The content of the module is the interdisciplinary application and communication of a working topic from the fields of logical modelling and algorithmic processing, as well as analysis of corresponding models. |
Forms of Teaching and Learning |
Project work amounting to 8 hours per week plus independent study. |
Prerequisites for Participation |
No previous specialist knowledge is required. |
Applicability |
Besides CMS-LM-ADV, this module is one of two elective modules for students of the track Logical Modelling in the second semester of the Master degree programme Computational Modelling and Simulation. |
Prerequisites for the Assignment of Credit Points |
The credit points are awarded if the module examination is passed. The module examination consists of 70 hours of group project work and an oral presentation of 30 minutes in English. |
Credit Points and Grades |
10 credit points can be earned by completing this module. The module grade is the unweighted average of the graded work. |
Frequency of Offer |
The module is offered in each summer semester. |
Workload |
The total workload is 300 hours. |
