Inhalte: Lecture 1:
Chemistry of surface modification; Polymers at Interfaces; Attractive and repulsive forces towards interfaces and macroscopic bodies; Modulating colloidal interaction; Assembly of nanoparticles in colloidal dispersion; Wetting; Wetting of real surfaces; Basics of hydrodynamics; Dynamic Wetting; Surfactants; Templated Self-Assembly of Particles;  Electrophoretic Assembly.
Lecture 2:
Assembling of new materials from colloidal entities; Catalytic applications of colloidal particles ; Photo- and electrocatalysis; Solid state lighting and displays; Photovoltaic and thermoelectric applications of quantum dots; Bio-applications of quantum dots.
Leistungsnachweise: To pass the module M10 "Colloids and Interfaces" the participation in the two offered lectures is mandatory. At the end of the semester there will be one written exam on both lectures.
