Short Summary: In this English lecture students will learn current psychological knowledge on aptitude testing, job requirements analysis, personnel selection and the development of expertise in socio-technical systems. We begin with a summary of relevant basic terms, theories and meta-analyses that all students should know from their prior BA-studies. In the following, key topics are: models of excellence; quality standards and laws regarding personnel selection and development, person-organization-fit, self-management, performance assessment and feedback, coaching and mentoring, consequences of demographic change, international placement and issues regarding fairness and effectiveness.
