Inhalte: In this course we will get to know classic and contemporary scientific papers on the neuroscience of two clinical communication and recognition disorders – developmental dyslexia and prosopagnosia (face-identity processing disorder). The literature on prosopagnosia will comprise populations with developmental deficits as well as acquired deficits caused by brain lesion or insult. There will be a brief introduction to the clinical disorders. An emphasis will be laid on understanding the structure of scientific papers, and the difficulties, advantages, and disadvantages of clinical neuroscience studies. The course will also cover how the field has advanced based on animals models as well as new imaging and analysis techniques in humans. The course language will be English and will be held online.
