Inhalte: Exploring quantum materials through hydrostatic pressure or uniaxial strain offers a powerful avenue to uncover new phenomena. In this seminar, we will study the latest developments in this dynamic field, including breakthroughs in quantum spin liquids, quantum critical points, electronic nematics, and unconventional superconductivity. Experimentally probing such states poses formidable challenges at the forefront of physics, demanding a comprehensive approach and inspiring the development of cutting-edge methodologies. This is also reflected in this seminar, covering the application of modern transport, thermodynamic, scattering, and spectroscopy experiments to the exploration of novel collective quantum states.
